Who Else Prefers to Use a PC/laptop Rather than a Phone?

A lot of people nowadays use their smartphones instead of a computer. Whilst I do indeed use my smartphone, I personally much prefer to use my laptop as I like the much larger screen and thus find it easier to navigate. I also tend to have a lot of tabs open at once, and I find this much easier to handle on a computer. I also feel more comfortable using a mouse as opposed to a touchscreen.
Always Laptop for me.Play a few games on my phone but larger screen so much easier to navigate.
I use both. Depends what I use it for. The laptop has keyboard and Iβm trained typist so prefer it. Also the larger screen makes it easier to navigate as the images are much larger.
Definitely a laptop as I type quite fast and phones slow me down to a crawl. You can still have a touchscreen on a laptop. I recently went mad and bought myself a new laptop with a touchscreen. This one;
So you can still use it as a touch screen if that is what you want or navigate with the trackpad and type using the keyboard and I tend to do a bit of both with it.
It's only a 11" screen too so an incredibly compact laptop and less than a kilo in weight with good battery life of 9-10 hours.
Of course you can also have an android tablet with a keyboard and mouse as an alternative and I guess you could use a keyboard and mouse with a mobile phone too although that would be a little weird.
It depends what I'm using it for. If it is work then a laptop, otherwise I use my tablet. I prefer using my tablet to my phone as it has a larger screen.
Laptop for me as I don't have a suitable phone 
on holiday I use my kindle. I much prefer the larger screen and a mouse.
I avoid using my phone for anything other than calls or texts, although I use maps when travelling. I have a kindle fire and desk top pc and prefer the latter for all serious stuff like shopping, banking, email etc, tablet when sitting in front of tv doing comps, also email and browsing.
Lynibis I don't trust banking apps and much prefer to use the website version.
RegularComper91 absolutely, my tablet and desktop never leave the house, but the phone does, so far riskier.
I prefer using my Laptop to my phone. I am stuck at home most days and it has become quite the lifeline. I only use my phone when I have to. I can access my carer, my gp's website and my friends using the laptop. I also love the arts & crafts tutorials which are free on youtube when I am up to it.
I much prefer the larger size and the fact that you have a keyboard and don't need to be hunt and pecking on a tiny phone screen for many tasks!

I only use my phone when Iβm away from home to check emails. Never do any banking on my phone Iβm still a dinosaur with that.
I like my laptop as prefer a bigger screen to work with but use phone when out if needed.
Lots of devices are android based nowadays so you can install apps to them and then connect a keyboard, mouse and perhaps USB stick for storage. These include android TVs and android projectors. You might even be able to get virtual reality headsets based on android so you could use that for everyday tasks and browsing as weird as that sounds. Amazing how many options there are nowadays for computing.
BonzoBanana As SmartTVs are Android I personally debloated mine and removed the WiFi connection so it can't update and add ads (yes, they did that).
Who the heck gave them the right to add trash to our devices! And Windows 11 is getting ads as a "feature" 
Oh, and if your CPU is too old, then M$ will reportedly block your OS from booting. Wtf.
They're just adding fuel to the fire that's Windows 11.
PhilipMarc It's much worse in the US where they are testing Windows advertising on a wider level although I guess it won't be long before Europe gets it too to the same degree. Microsoft are already monetizing in the background with selling our data. Quite a lot of memory and processing power is now lost on processes that have absolutely no benefit to the consumers which is really annoying. I've played a bit with laptops in Currys and with full size operating systems bloated with apps and they perform very poorly. It feel's like they would be 3x faster if debloated.
I've not used Mac OS recently so not sure how that compares although typically they are slightly more capable hardware overall. Google is also monetizing as much as possible though nowadays but of course they have to as their operating systems are priced at a very low level for manufacturers and no cost for end users. However I guess Microsoft has been more generous with its licensing rules in recent years, many people have started with Windows 7 and upgraded all the way to Windows 11 with the same licensing key.
Windows LTSC seems like what normal Windows should be.
BonzoBanana Windows since 8 has had ads admittedly, the well known tiles.
I never liked that and it annoyed me I was seeing ads and other nonsense (news/weather) I didn't care about.
This is how Windows should traditionally look like:
If Windows 11 LTSC was similar, no bloatware, no ads, no Edge, no M$ Store, then it'd be alright. Windows 10 LTSC is supported until 2029 so I have no reason to change.
PhilipMarc I forgot about the Windows 8 adverts, I disabled them I think pretty quickly and didn't see them.
I tend to prefer my laptop/computer, it is bigger, has a keyboard, much easier to type, easier to see and can have multiple tasks open on one area. Often if I am on my smartphone, I prefer the browser version of some sites too, with the phone version of many websites I personally think things can be more difficult to find, but that could just be because I am more used to them. Same with tablets, they are just like giant smartphones, haven't really managed to get used to using them and don't wish to, so need to have one/use one.
One of my friends prefers the laptop when she doesn't have her toddler around but obviously phones are easier to work on when you are in a hurry and you can be a bit more discreet with them. She does however prefer a touchscreen laptop, which I always find a little strange. Only because I've never had one. I just have to remind her if we are working near each other and she wants to show me something on my screen - to get her grubby hands off my screen as it's not touch screen! (disclaimer: she doesn't have grubby hands! )
I prefer my PC as I find the screen on the phone too small to do a lot of typing.I wear variafocal glasses which include the reading element which works well for me.I use the phone when I am out and about but prefer the laptop at home.
For comfort and ease of use in my house i find a desktop is the best however i do use a laptop due to space. I canβt watch tv shows or anything like that on my phone as i find the screen too small.
jms19 I have both a desktop and a laptop too and both are great. I particularly like to use the laptop when I am in bed.
Use my phone. Its easier for me. Its personal preference though. I can't be bothered yo login to the computer to do daily tasks
Only just realised this is a debate about using a laptop/pc or phone but of course many people use neither they use a tablet. I've known a few people that pretty much use their ipads exclusively but do use them with bluetooth keyboards at times so become a sort of laptop. Android tablets are just as capable of being used with a keyboard and mouse and of course you get 'phablets' nowadays which are tablets and phones combined.
