What Is Your Favourite Comp Win?
Ask a Question
I never win any competitions (only thing I've won this year is some peanut butter ), so let me live vicariously through you and tell me your best competition prizes - big money? Something that led to a special memory? Item that you wouldn't be without now?
My favourite one was when I won a Β£500 Asda voucher. Paid for our groceries for a while, plus some clothes for our son.
I just log into my other email account for My Happy Street and won an iPad Pro for Β£7.95 (was Β£1300) via Survey Reward Edition. I did not fill in my details because they want my bank account details and I am reluctant in giving it to a website I am unsure about. I have read the rave reviews about this prize from other winners. What do you think about this prize? I email them telling them I don't have a bank account. the offer closes in seven hours' time.
jam45 Be very careful J, there are a lot of scams going around , check their e mail address, hover over the incoming to see if it a normal one and not hieroglyphs jumbled up , and see if there is a phone number , check on google and see reviews, i get messages weekly on facebook i have won something , always scams , and if they ask for money for delivery its another bad sign
My best win was a holiday to New Zealand and i double checked everything before replying the company
telmel You have got your head screwed on and can smell a rat a mile off. I will now close my account with Happy Street daily competition and their survey reward section. I don't think there was any details given about the company. Thanks for the security advice regarding checking the details given.
We have won a few things over the years. Top ones were Β£500 John Lewis voucher, Β£200 Take a break and Β£105 from wave radio
HappyComperZoe I would love a Β£500 shopping spree in John Lewis
Do you still use anything you got with your vouchers/winnings?
HappyComperZoe Iβve done take a break competitions religiously every week ever since the magazine first came out. My mother in law one a plastic toy of some sort. Iβve never won a thing! Wondered if anyone did! So you have!?
sulawesi We actually got it before Christmas so we got a lot of people gifts as well as Christmas food. We have two mugs that we got ourselves which we always use .
I have had a few wins are the years. My husband won a PlayStation 4. My children won a computer with games and I won a weekend break away.
I have never won anything I must be so unlucky I always put the lottery on and the last time I won was when you got Β£10 for 3 numbers so that was years ago I keep saying one day I will win something nice
Over the last 5 years best wins have been Β£200 love2shop voucher, Β£250 handmade leather shoes and Β£500 Amazon voucher. I've spent the Amazon voucher, still got the shoes and I'm waiting for the love2shop.
lilyflower The shoes sound amazing, were they a style you would have chosen yourself?
sulawesi They were/are flat wedding shoes, I went with the least fancy option and thought my daughter might like them but no. I did try selling them as they're a bit over the top for every day wear but that was another no. So they sit in their box 'till I decide what to do next.
lilyflower They are pretty, but yes, I can imagine there's not many opportunities to wear them
sulawesi lilyflower I would definitely wear them if they are comfy. I don't think they are at all ott and would add pizzazz to any outfit.
Lynibis I'll have to think of or find a special occasion. I opted for flats rather than the heels that were on offer thinking they would be more use but they are very fine and cream suede. Perhaps they should be my holiday shoes
lilyflower I can't remember the last time I wore heels and then less than 2" so they would do me well but although I would wear them I am not one for ankle straps.
lilyflower they are absolutely gorgeous! I don't think that they are over the top for everyday wear. I would wear those to work. I think they would be perfect for holiday shoes.
The best prize I won was a stay in a fancy hotel (we got the top suite too!). It included afternoon tea when we arrived, a chocolate truffle making class, 3 course dinner, breakfast and then a picnic hamper to take home.
Best price I ever won was just over 34yrs ago. Itβs actually my daughterβs birthday today and bout 5/6 weeks before she was due I won a pram in the local supermarket. Iβd already had a pram paid off and left over in pram shop in town. They let me cancel the pram and use money in the shop for everything else I needed which was good job as she was born the next wk, 5wks early by emergency section and hubby had just been paid off and we were panicking how weβd afford stuff for her. Thanks to my win sheβd best of everything and hubby got new job 2wks later. That was like another comp win
I won some glass jars of honey I got 8 jars so I have 3 to the good bank and 4 to family and friends I was so happy it was lovely honey from hilltop honey everyone loved it
About twenty years ago l won a two week holiday in Australia courtesy of a glossy magazine, however was in Greece at the time so l had to forfeit the trip as when l entered l had to be available to travel at a said time.. thinking l would never win , though when l returned l had a parcel the size of a bed pillow waiting for me jammed to the rafters with allsorts of very expensive beauty products
Won a few comps. But best one was holiday to majorca. Great location not far from magaluf and palmanova!
richmorgan27rm it was quite full on peanut butter - smooth with caramel, pretzels and chocolate I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this one https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/competitions/win-suitcase-full-peanut-butter-instagram
