smallbike1961 Thanks. Just a heads-up that there's actually a different guideline for Subscribe & Save offers... ๐Ÿ™ˆ

> Subscribe & Save offers (for example, on Amazon): the main deal price should be the normal, single purchase price. We do not accept the "subscribe & save" price as a deal, because it's available on nearly every product. You are welcome to include this extra information in the description.

A stipulation that all clothing/shoes show the sizes available at the time of posting. 'Trending' deals are a joke when there was only ever a size 6 in clothing, at the point of sharing. If there are plenty/limited sizes then it should be in the blurb of the deal but if there is only one size left then it should be included in the title. This also indicates that trending deals are not accurate - who would vote for them if the full info was given?

sunny101 Excellent point . We all know that every day there are "deals" particularly on Amazon where "just one size " is shown at a great price . Clickbait obviously -sadly the main culprits are certain LD Hunters who should know better ?

At best a waste of member's time searching for their size , at worst many less savvy members might just click and order their size without checking the price .

Personally I dislike the retailers or brands being able to post their items. They tend to not give correct information on an item and if you go to the item on amazon they have zero ratings etc. I refuse to buy from those sellers as I have been stung by them in the past

To encourage more good deals to be shared rather than folks posting any old 3 deals for point, why on give extra point for those with trending deals that are popular with members. I only post deals which I believe are genuinely big discounts that the community would like to see, many if not most of my deals end up trending but it will take me forever to reach my next milestone as I don't just post any old 3 deals every day but do provide the site with quality deal people want to see and buy.

ILOVEFANTA Unfortunately the "Rate deals" function has led to every deal , good or bad , getting 20+ likes . Latest Deals only display the "Likes" not the "Don't Likes " . So every deal and non deal appears to be well liked and doubtless encourages some members to continue to post non deals .

Perhaps display the Net likes ie " Likes - Dislikes" ? It would provide encouragement to those members who only post good deals and perhaps food for thought to the many who so obviously "game the site" with non deals on a daily basis ?

Golfforall I'm not sure what the answer is to discourage spam posting daily. But I honestly feel that their should be extra rewards for trending deals. Quality deals should be rewarded with extra points in my opinion.

ILOVEFANTA "Trending" used to be over 20 likes (or was it 25 ?) before the introduction of the "Tinder for Deals" (rate deals) function . It was then raised to 30 as obviously too many deals "Trended" . Like you I only ever post deals that I consider to be exceptional and of real value to the membership , so not many - certainly not 3 each and every day ๐Ÿ˜ฎ. TBH I think I have failed my fellow members if my deals do not get at least 40 Likes (20 real likes + 20 random likes from "tinder for deals" ) .

Best thing - just bin "rate deals" unless the "don't likes" are also displayed ?

Golfforall to be honest I didn't realise what was needed to get a trending deal.

ILOVEFANTA To reward trending deals would produce some inevitable problems. There's the multiple account holders......yes, they're on the site. What better way to make a deal trend than to vote it multiple times from your accounts? If people can create fake emails to obtain a free bar of chocolate (FB) then how far would they go to promote a deal, to trend, and earn cash? One positive element of the deals rating is that it is ridiculously easy to spot the duplicate 'trends'...... ever wondered why you keep seeing Orlando Bright Skies, Wickes Ohio, Lenor, Wickes screwdrivers, TK Maxx cushions, Soho planter, Sylvania LED bulbs? It's hard to prove but it's not coincidental - worth a search.....

how about being able to delete your own posts be it a deal or a chat comment..

Antiwoke The 'other' deals website they delete comments and it makes the discussions that grow from it kind of confusing as we don't know what the original comment stated.

They delete comments way, way too frequently. Supposedly "offensive" or "off-topic," who knows really.

Antiwoke A very, very delayed reply here... sorry! I didn't catch this the first time around.

You can't currently delete a comment (it's quite tricky to handle with "nested" replies - if someone has replied to your comment and you subsequently delete yours, it leaves the replies a little lost and confused!). You can however edit your comment and could replace it with, for example, "DELETED"?

Hello. Iโ€™ll just paste what I commented on in a recent offer post.

Maybe added functionality to each post could be a โ€œis this a good deal?โ€ Thumbs up and thumbs down, with possibility of a comment box on why it isnโ€™t a good deal.

This came about as a post was offering a intel Celeron laptop for 179.99, with an outright lie of original RRP 599. They never were that price if you went back fifteen years, and another poster pointed out that it isnโ€™t a good deal. Itโ€™s something Iโ€™ve noticed as well. With Windows you donโ€™t really have planned obsolescence, but there are times when things like older gen android phones are advertised, and they, like Apple do have a OS support lifetime.

kanedaku Morning ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you for the feedback! It's definitely something we'll take on board. Watch this space!

I would however really encourage you (and everyone!) to leave a comment explaining why a deal might not be good - cheaper elsewhere, unrealistic RRP, etc even if you can't thumbs down a deal at the moment. Always be kind (someone probably thought the deal was genuine!) but honest with feedback to help other members improve their bargain hunting skills ๐Ÿ‘

Kelsey that is I think the majority view. It's very rare (if at all) I've seen someone slam a deal, but mostly people will comment (oh X supermarket is doing it for X price) with a positive spin, but the functionality would make it more visible rather going through every comment. Thanks

Lots of deals are from farmfoods or Heron but we donโ€™t have those in Sussex. More area deals would be good if possible.

JLouM Hey ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you for the suggestion!

Location based deals are tricky as we'd need to know the location of every retailer and all of their shops. And also a member's location too (which from a privacy perspective can be a bit tricky!).

I wonder if it would be helpful if you could exclude/hide certain retailers? E.g. if you could easily select "Farm Foods" and choose to hide all future deals/offers from them on Latest Deals? Do you think that would help? Thanks!

What about a section covering other great apps that help make money excluding ones too similar to this of course! Members could put forward what new apps they are using, the pros and cons. A rule that set in place so referrals are not allowed. I would defo be checking that daily. And maybe even a few points for any app that is new to be mentioned?

Perhaps this is something someone else has already mentioned but rather than just muting rude users, it would be good if there was a 'report' button next to comments where you could report them. If they receive x amount of reports, moderators are notified and can review the user with the view of removing them from the site.

AliExpress 3 items from $1.79 (ยฃ5ish delivered) is well worth it, but not sure how I'd go about posting it because it has various items.

The other day one of the batches I bought came with this mini solar panel and it's excellent (retails for ยฃ10+ and it cost me ยฃ2ish).

I reckon people are missing out on great deals.

I love the supermarket comparison function and would love to see it built on pleeeease.

I would like to filter results based on;

-unit price and/or

-price per (e.g. weight... ยฃ0.24 per kg)

-brand(s)

-minimum pack size

I would also like to be able to Sort results based on similar criteria, and also on % saving on RRP/average price

I would also love to see a feature where I could create my shopping list in there and choose a maximum number of shops I am willing to visit then see results of where to shop for the cheapest whole shop.

The list should be broken down for each shop and be sortable by manual one by one method so that I can try to order it based on which item I will pick up next according to how the aisles are laid out.

These are some fantasy (I live a humdrum life! โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿคญ) wishes for the app, I hope they appeal to you.

No mention about second hand selling anywhere about the benefits of selling online and the platforms and the benefits and bargains you can also get too. Itโ€™s all very this is only cheaper in the stores when you can get the same item say on eBay or Vinted. There should be a video about selling and some bargains on Vinted or something to save money

I think a video review section from the staff will be great. If some kind of blind test of branded, store brand or dupe compares. See if its latest deal approved or not. IDK can be fun.

I was a little suprised that the longer you stay the longer you have to collect points to cash in. It seems rather unfair as I prefer to exchange ยฃ10 at a time rather than wait ages to collect higher amounts. It's like be punished for being loyal. ๐Ÿ˜

I'm seeing a lot of fake information on amazon deals. I really think there should be some warning before you click through. Just to inform people they need to check the specification carefully. You get so many marketplace sellers who falsely claim information like a 2GB tablet becomes a 6GB tablet or they use storage expansion in the main header like it can take a 512GB sd card and so they put 512GB in the description which is false advertising. They also use completely fake benchmarking graphs which have no accuracy at all and generally there are lots of conflicting information in the description.

Also there is the issue for a huge amount of deals where they state a price but there is a compulsory delivery charge so you can't get it for that price and yet the delivery price is not mentioned anywhere on the listing. On the form for listing a deal there should be a place for delivery charge or it should say what is the price including the delivery charge. Listings should be fair. If you can't buy it for that price it shouldn't be listed at that price.
