Netflix Announces Price Rise Decent Recent Password Crackdown Success

Deal Hunters, the streaming titan's prices are on the up.

Hello Deal Hunters! Got a Netflix subscription? Brace yourselves, as prices are heading north. The streaming bigwig has announced a bump in their monthly charges across the US, UK, and France.

Ben Smith at BBC News reported that this decision comes even after Netflix reeled in millions of fresh subscribers, 8.8 million between July and September. That's the streaming giant's biggest growth for more than two years. This rise is a bit of a surprise for many, considering their recent successful crackdown on password sharing.

The basic subscription is rising by £1, going to £7.99, and the premium membership will increase by £2 to £17.99.

The worry is whether they'll be able to continue to draw in new members. With the cost of living crisis, tough competition from other streaming platforms, and the Hollywood strikes delaying new content, there's a concern about continuing to built their subscriber base. This price increase is perhaps a reflection of that fear.

Now, it's essential to ask yourself: is Netflix still giving you bang for your buck Or is it time to scout around for other streaming bargains! Remember, it's all about getting value for your hard-earned cash.

Tom Church, Co-Founder of shopping community LatestDeals.co.uk, remarked, "With every price rise, consumers need to evaluate the value they're getting. It's all about smart choices."

I transferred to Netflix £4.99 offer. This is for adverts, but I can have netflix on 2 tv's instead of the one.

My subscription has gone down in price by £2.00. I can cope with adverts.
