I have just put out some decorations in my room, and gotten out a smaller tree will put that up later this week.
How long does it take you to set up the Christmas 
tree and hanging up the lights 
and all the decorations?
When I put up the bigger tree in the living room and start decorating it takes me a 2/3 hours cause I have to move everything else away, then have to make sure it stands on a box well cause a leg on the base is broken lol and then hang all the decorations on it. I have had the tree fall down a few times during December lmao 
Didnโt bother with setting it up last yearโฆ I like the decorations to look good and symmetrical lol 
so it may take me a bit longer

decorating it does take time and effort to decorate the Christmas tree and inside and outside the house

I put up the small tree just yesterday afternoon, mine has deer 
decorations and baubles on it and some star 
๏ธ lights too. Got them all free from Hobbycraft! 
except the baubles from sales at Sainsburyโs a few years ago. Also decorated the living room too.

Christmas literally fell out of the loft on Saturday. I spent most of the day decorating the tree and home with breaks in between. Still got to do the outside. Waiting for a bit better weather.

It doesn't take any of my time, I don't do it, the wife and kids do lol , if I lived alone I wouldn't bother with a tree ect...

An afternoon. The teenager does it. We put other bits up. I don't go to mad as we've a small place so don't have much space
My partner puts up our 6ft Christmas Tree, it was half price from Homebase a few years ago so we paid ยฃ55 between us & bought other decorations too..Our daughter & I help & we also take the Christmas Tree down & put the decorations away together unless one of us is working...
janphoenix51 I think one we have is about the same price or more itโs also from Homebase with changing coloured lights but it broke so doesnโt do that as much
Even Christmas trees on offer itโs still pricey, itโs an amount for a few months worth of groceries
I go for tacky. Been my theme for years. Don't like it to be perfect looking to be honest.
Jerseydrew ...Our's will be far from purrrrrrfect because we have our two little rascals Torti Topaz & her brother Phoenix playing & causing mayhem but we wouldn't have it any other way!!

I was gonna put my tree up today but honestly I'm knackered been up all night with my little one so see what tomorrow brings
We are getting a new one or real one this year as got shot of previous one. So difficult to tell as images are different from reality so look at reviews with photos. Will take ages to stuff out of the loft and go through what to use, so much stuff to get shot of. So very half day Iโd say .
It takes me a full weekend to decorate (8hrs each day from Friday - Sunday). I have 3 trees, and a load of decorations for the whole house

That is a lot of decorations lol I hang onto the tree and for the whole house too!
I only put up a small one for my room thatโs it and it didnโt take me that long about 10 minutes lol

kitty88uk thank you. I was gifted the polar bear and I love it. We canโt put lights on the trees incase the cats get tangled in them, so I have light up decorations where I can

I did the same but with decorations out on the 28th and then on the 30th I just put up the small Christmas tree in my room thatโs it
I must be Bah Humbug...l cannot stand clutter so never put up a tree or decorations

kitty88uk yep, I'm a neat freak, l cannot abide clutter everything in its place, dust collectors (ooops! Ornaments/ nick nacks are just not for me)
Pinkspirit oh is that so, Iโm the same kind of, I hate mess in the house, I keep throwing so many plastic takeaway boxes to recycle but thereโs always more 
We stupidly bought a tree where you have to slot in the individual branches, so it takes a good 30 minutes just to do that before you even think about decorating it

I have a 4ft fibre optic tree I bought 30 years ago from QVC. I add a few baubles that have sentimental value. Takes me about an hour to prep and primp it.
TraceySpencer oooh wow you have had the Christmas tree I for 30 years!! Iโm surprised that itโs still in very good condition!! Not bad that it takes an hour to set it all up! Share a photo!
Iโve put my decorations up, quite minimalist this year. A few years ago I bought a huge artificial Christmas tree, itโs staying in the loft as Iโve put a wall one up with fairy lights.
