Conditioner vs. Hair Oil: Which is Better for Damaged Hair?

Ask a Question

I’ve always had split ends which is annoying! I do use conditioner but get lazy as my back aches leaning over bath tub 🛁 lol but have recently started using hair oil by Herbal Essences can be applied on damp or dry hair!

Yes hair does become soft and smooth but then it goes back to feeling dry like lol 😝

Anyone else the same?

kitty88uk Strange this I've just read that aqueous cream is ok as a face wash but not as an emollient or stay on skin creme .It can in fact cause irritation if left on too long.I've had a rather red face these last few days so am washing with rose water and using nivea instead but my hair is in good nick and I often rub face creams in it!I also periodically give myself a good head massage with coconut or rosemary oils.My head/hair is greasy for a day or two but it sups it in. I never use tongs or any other hair gadgets though.

MelissaLee1 Probably, but we won't tell lol. Try a little coconut oil, even the solid stuff can be used for hair, or the two I have suggested on other comment.

I don't think anything will bring about a permanent change to your natural hair. I have frizzy, coarse, thick hair and apply argan or coconut oil from Amazon, whichever is on offer. (I use the liquid coconut oil).

Try a hair mask rather than conditioner, tge Garnia banana mask for damaged hair is really good & smells divine. I use HASK argon hair oil, get it from boots for a few quid.

If you use any heat on your hair try using a heat protection spray too, might help prevent further damage.
