Does Your Council Do Enough Recycling?
Ask a Question
Do you think your council does enough for recycling?
Ours has a food waste collection which helps stop the smell in the household waste bin, but my friends in another council don't have one. And we have wheelie bins where one is for paper and another one is for plastic and tin.
Good topic our side we have 2 wheelie bins one for household rubbish another with a plastic box ,bin for bottle’s tins,Etc and box for paper’s if we have cardboards bigger sizes we allowed to put them by the recycling bin make sure they tied up I’m very pleased love recycling every 2 week after they collect recycling bins.thanks for this topic.
We have 4 bins and a weekly one just for food waste so I'd say yes issues I've got is they don't get emptied when there supposed to every other fortnight I'm reporting my bin missed
We have recycling and food waste (both unlimited) picked up every week and normal rubbish (3 bags maximum) and glass collected every 3 weeks.
We have four wheelie bins
General waste - emptied fortnightly
Cardboard & paper - emptied fortnightly
Plastics, glass, foil- emptied fortnightly
Garden/green (you have to buy both the bin and pay a charge to have it emptied) emptied fortnightly some of the time and monthly in the winter
we just have the two wheelie bins general waste and recycled collected alternate weeks. We did have a free garden waste collection so have a black wheelie bin for that. this ran for March - September I think but last year they started to charge for it so we no longer bother.
We have a food recycling bin, garden waste bin, cardboard and paper bin, plastic and cans bin and a glass bin. We recycle as much as we can in the bins.
