Soup & A Sandwich!

Ask a Question

Earlier today I had a ham and lettuce sandwich πŸ₯ͺ with chicken πŸ— soup 🍲 anyone else likes a simple lunch?

Too cold πŸ₯Ά to eat the sandwich that I ended up dunking it into the soup lmao 🀣 who else does this? πŸ˜…πŸ˜œπŸ˜¬

I only eat Asda or Tesco Beef & Vegetable or Chicken & Vegetable soup with wholemeal bread rolls at lunchtime only.

jam45 I buy supermarkets own branded soup 🍲 too from either Aldi, Sainbsury’s or Tesco much cheaper than Heinz! Same with spaghetti hoops

Delicious πŸ˜‹ flavours! I had chicken πŸ—

kitty88uk Years ago, it was only Heinz soup we ate. Until one day I noticed the lack of beef and chicken contents.

I had a tin of tomato soup for my lunch yesterday as it was so cold, I always dip my bread in and I cut up cheese to dip in, yummy.

jam45 yes that’s true! I tried Sainbsury’s own brand vegetables πŸ₯• cup a soup with croutons it’s nice but the branded ones the flavour is a bit stronger lol

But not bag for 90p with 4 sachets Bachelors beans has just 4 for think Β£1.50 or so

kitty88uk I agree with you regarding Bachelor's cup a soup. I buy it as a treat and not as an everyday soup.

I often do a homemade soup. However I do like a cheese toastie with Heinz tomatoe soup for a easy lunch. Best soup ever was my mams ham shank & dumpling soup. Never been able to make like hers.

Consumer that’s very simple lol πŸ˜† isn’t it cold πŸ₯Ά to eat a salad πŸ₯— in this weather?

Whenever I have a ham sandwich πŸ₯ͺ with lettuce, tomatoes πŸ… and cucumbers πŸ₯’ it’s too cold to hold them lol so I heat it for 30 seconds ok microwave lol 😝

πŸ˜„ Simple, tastes great but not cold - I dish up my salad in the morning and eat it later at room temperature πŸ˜€

Consumer ah yes I should do that haha πŸ˜†

I wash the lettuce then place a paper towel in a reusable box place then lettuce on top cover it and it absorbs the water so don’t get soggy sandwiches πŸ₯ͺ lol

Cant get 2 sons to eat soup either..never have.Shame when its cheap & cheerful. And can make your own for pennies if you buy a cheap soupmaker- aldi do a good one.so do others Tower,Argos etc- cheap in the sales right now.

caztoo I prefer to make mine on hob, doesn't take much longer and you can judge thickness. Wouldn't take much more fuel if any more. Mushroom or potato and Leek are my faves. Plus a soup maker doesn't make enough for several servings. I have one in back of cupboard, used twice!

Sometimes if we can't be bothered to cook a proper meal after we've both been at work all day we'll have soup and rolls. We always keep some part baked rolls in the cupboard and use these. I'll have either chicken or mulligatawny soup and the men have tomato. Usually we've had a meal whilst at work, I tend to have a late lunchtime, so we find this enough.

I had vegetables πŸ₯• cup a soup 🍲 Sainbsury’s own brand 5 sachets for 90p! Like the croutons lol πŸ˜† had with sausage roll and a bread 🍞 end lol that was my lunch on Wednesday
