Do You like Socks as a Gift?

I've told everyone to Not buy me socks lol must have 50 pairs, I received loads last year that I haven't used yet

Not really, but saying that I do quite like the cosy socks and bought myself a cute pair from Next yesterday .

I buy my grown up son, underwear and socks every year as stocking fillers Not exciting but useful. I do try to make the socks interesting, star wars etc

It depends. Fun socks or unusual socks are fun. Socks given thoughtlessly is just pointless and lazy - better off just giving them the money for the value of the socks

No I don't see a issue with it at the end of the day it's the thought that counts some people are just ungrateful

Yes, I love socks as a gift especially the cosy style ones. Cosy socks and slippers great I’d rather be given them than chocolates or something else I wouldn’t use

Yes I would rather have something useful rather than a gadget that will end up in the cupboard.

Tog socks only so keep my feet nice and warm as I can't stand the finn pair as it feels like my shoes will fall off

No-one buys me socks but I have given them as a present to others. Each time they have been well received and definitely worn again, especially the alpaca wool socks which I am told are really warm.

I always like to receive fluffy bed socks- nice and warm at night. Might buy my niece a pair with some hot chocolate gift.

Socks are right up there as the most unthoughtful present ever

Yeah love them, anything like that that saves me the hassle of having to get them myself is great.

Depends what they are, prefer character ones or similar and cosy fleece ones

I don't mind getting nice and cosy fluffy socks as have a condition that means I get really cold feet, so.wear 2 pairs at a time, 1 normal pair and 1 fluffy pair

Socks cushion the feet… as I grow up I realize it more than just an accessory but a tool in the cold season

I'm very happy to receive socks as a gift. Every Boxing Day my mates and I discuss how many pairs we've received for Christmas. I still hold the record at 17 pairs!

If people want to buy me socks then fine but cant say I am a fan! Not sure how many socks I have as they all go into one big tub and I just grab a couple as I need them - never bothered about them matching either!

I don’t mind receiving socks as I go for long walks. This cold weather makes me want to have thermal socks. Tried a few shops but they are sold out.

Yes, love getting socks, usefull, practical, saves me buying me own, much prefer that to a smelly set that always have a body lotion in that I never use,lol

I'd rather have socks then some other things that'll sit until it goes to charity. Only because Socks get used. They get holes and fall apart eventually

Yes especially fluffy socks as can never have too many pairs as a mum to three I'm constantly buying socks lol and in winter fluffy socks are a godsend
