I personally wouldn’t sue as I don’t think I’d win, but I can understand why someone would. 2 hours is a really long time to be waiting for a performance and can ruin your whole evening. Especially if you’ve had to hire a babysitter or you’re going to miss the last train home.

Well yes I’d want to be compensated for wasted time.

I wouldn't wanna go see Madonna to be honest and if she was late half hour I would have left these people have very right to sue her she's taking the p***

It's par for the course, always has been. I don't think that I've ever been to a concert where it started on time.

If I was the management, I'd ban the complainants from attending any future gigs by any of my artists. The venue should ban them too

TheChimp Half hour is one thing but 2 whole hours is quite another. People pay for expensive tickets, they deserve to get a good experience. I never go to them anyway. I’ve only been to Clannad and Aha. I didn’t pay for the latter as I was only asked as someone else couldn’t make it.

JLouM There might have been a good reason for Madonna to come on late. It will just lead to promoters putting disclaimers on tickets.

I'd still ban them anyway because it's just not worth any future hassle.

TheChimp It’s just like anything else. If you are paying for a product or service you deserve a certain standard or at least a good explanation of the problem otherwise you have a right to complain.

JLouM It's not like anything though, there's lots of different factors that could affect the start time.

I'm pretty sure and hoping that the case will get kicked out because the complainants are just chancing their arm and the lawyers have been dull enough to take it on.

TheChimp Well perhaps these people are chancers and I don’t necessarily agree with suing the artist or management just an expected level of service and yes things can get delayed or go wrong in which case people should be fully informed why.

JLouM How can they be informed on the night if there had been unforeseen circumstances? And what would be the redress if 20k odd people wanted their money back? Not really a possibility, I'm afraid. The chancers were lucky to get tickets tbh and I'm sure that they could have easily sold their tickets outside the venue if they were so worried about not being able to commit to their 'responsibilites'.

The only thing I'd be annoyed about is there not being a live band on stage. I would have expected that, so do you think that I could sue Madonna because I wasn't informed beforehand?

TheChimp I don’t know about suing but I think yes she owes it to her fans to explain the situation whether unforeseen or not. It’s like turning up for work late.

JLouM Maybe she had the runs and was stuck on the toilet 🤔

Don't dislike her and enjoy some of her music , but It's Madonna and like many of these superstars she thinks everything and everyone should revolve around her , no consideration for others.

If nothing else it will make the "stars" think twice about making fans wait.

Why can't the concerts start at 12pm ? Everyone is fresh, get home for the childminder, gets a cab and a kebab easily

I've seen some of the footage of her concerts. I'd be suing her for a poor show. Time to hang up your tights Madge

Good luck with suing someone. You usually need a lot of money to take someone to court and i doubt you would win against someone so famous. Good luck to them.

Well these people must have a lot of money to start with as I'd think this would be an expensive process. Wish them the best of luck.

I wouldn't sue, but 2 hours is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of respect for her fans.

Axl Rose still owes me an apology for the time he pulled a similar trick! He used to be notorious for it but he does seem to behave a bit better recently.

To me it shows lack of respect for her fans. If it meant that i had to find somewhere to say as i had missed my last train home then i would probably try to sue for costs involved - it would probably turn into a class action suit and have some chance of winning
