How does the free trial work?
All new customers are eligible for a seven-day free trial, which will roll over into an ongoing subscription, unless cancelled before the end of the trial period.
Earlier today I was checking out the PlayStation Store for freebies and saw this, I know that PlayStation Plus has the typical trial run but wasn't aware of PlayStation Now.
PlayStation Now is a video game streaming service that works on PS4 and PC devices, it used to be compatible on PS3, PSV, PSTV, Samsung TVs and Sony TVs but Sony cut the support down to PS4/PC only.
* This offer is for newcomers only. I.e., users who have never used the trial before.
This is an ongoing subscription with a recurring monthly subscription fee of £12.99. If you have not subscribed before, you will get a 7 day free trial before your first monthly payment is taken. You can cancel any time prior to the end of the trial to avoid being charged. PlayStationNow (“PS Now”) games may differ from downloaded or disc-based games. Expand this section for further details. PS Now is a smart new streaming service that lets you play PS4 and PS3 games with no discs or downloads required – on any compatible device. Simply browse through our catalogue of hundreds of great titles, pick a game and get stuck in.
Play as many games as you like as much as you want, all for a monthly access price of just £12.99 For more information visit eu.playstation.com. This subscription is a paid-for ongoing subscription and a recurring subscription fee of £12.99 will be deducted from your wallet every month. We may change the recurring subscription fee in the future, in which case we will notify you in advance by email to the email address registered to your account. If you have not subscribed before, you will get a 7 day free trial at the beginning of the subscription.
At the end of the 7 day free trial, the subscription will automatically roll into a paid-for subscription. If you want to prevent this, you can cancel your subscription prior to the end of the free 7 day trial period. If you do cancel, you can continue to use the free trial until the 7 day trial period ends.
- Recurring subscription fee: £12.99 (until otherwise notified by email to the email address registered to your account)
- Billing frequency: every month
- Subscription duration: ongoing until cancellation You can cancel your subscription at any time so that your subscription will expire at the end of the then current month. This will stop future payments of the subscription fees but you will not receive a refund for payments already made.
Instructions on cancelling your subscription are at: PlayStation - Official Website
When you click [Order & Pay], we will turn ON automatic funding in your account settings. This means that if you do not have enough funds in your wallet to pay the subscription fees, the required balance will be charged to the payment method registered to your account (if any) unless you turn off automatic funding.
To turn off automatic funding, go to [Account Settings] > [Wallet] > [Wallet Settings]. PS Now is currently only available on: PS4 and PC.
