Lidl Helps Local Communities with 6 Weeks of Freebies
- You’ll need to spend over £20 in the store
- Only available in the 39 new stores opening this year
- New freebies every week for six weeks
If you live near one of the new Lidl’s that are opening, you’re in for a treat.
You’ll be able to get a ‘Lidl Welcome Card’, and as long as you spend £20, you’ll be able to pick up freebies every week for six weeks.
It’s part of Lidl’s expansion plans this year, which includes opening more stores so it can compete with other budget supermarkets like Aldi.
The cards are free, and Lidl is giving them out to local residents, but you can also pick one up in stores.
The card will have the name of the store on it, and it is only valid to be used in this store.
Deepak Tailor, co-founder of Latest Free Stuff, one of the UK’s biggest freebie communities said, “Lidl has shown it means to help local people. Yes, this initiative is clearly a marketing tactic, but one with the right intentions: to help those on lower incomes enjoy more food for less.”
The freebies will change every week- this week they include coffee, loo roll, and washing powder.
You can see the full list of offers here, and see what stores are opening near you.
39 new stores opened this week, including locations in Ipswich, Dunstable, and Coventry.
Lidl has also recently bought out a range of American style food in time for the Super Bowl this weekend, and you’ll be able to get it in the new stores.
Yay that's fantastic - please do let us know if you have any luck getting the freebies.
