- Customers must use remaining data or apply for a refund before the shutdown
- Options to switch to pay monthly SIMs or contact O2 for further support
O2 has confirmed it will be shutting down its pay-as-you-go data-only SIM services, effective January 31, 2025. These SIMs, which offered flexible data options for those without WiFi, will no longer be available. Customers with unused long-term plans are advised to consume their data or request a refund by contacting O2 customer services at 0344 809 0222.
For those wishing to remain with O2, pay monthly data SIM options are available, including 30-day rolling contracts or longer 12- and 24-month deals.
An O2 spokesperson stated: “We have contacted affected customers and are offering support as needed. O2 continues to provide a wide range of pay-monthly SIMs for iPads, tablets, and mobile broadband.”
