Can You Beat This Boo Boo

A while back a close single male relative booked a cruise (first one) which cost £1700. His sibling drove him to the port in Southampton, dropped him off and started her journey back home.
However, before she even got to the port exit he phoned her asking: 'You need a passport for a cruise don't you?'
Yes, he had left it at home and there was no way he could get there and back before the ship sailed. No holiday, no refund, lesson learned!
I know a lady who tried to book in at the very busy cruise terminal only to find they were a day early
That must have hurt a lot, not only did he not get his holiday, but he also paid all that money for nothing.
Lynibis i did have some stress this year before i went to Canada, the day before when doing my packing, I couldn’t locate my passport. Thankfully after hours of looking i found it, if I hadn’t found it i was just going to hide at home for a month and act like i went on holiday anyway
The first and last thing we do is triple check we have our passports and they are in order ect...
My daughter asked us to drive her the airport. We picked her up and headed towards Gatwick, our nearest airport. When we nearly arrived she informed us she was flying from Stansted. Luckily we made it in time.
Lynibis We just assumed it was Gatwick. I think she may have fallen asleep in the back, she generally does that as well.
Such a bloke thing to do. I always make sure we've passports and are in date cos I dint want to waste my money not being able to go on holiday
Oh my goodness. I can see how this could be done in fairness. I associate passports with flying
My mother in law got all the way yo the airport, about to check in, realised she had forgotten her passport. Rushed back home to get it, got back to the airport but missed the flight by 5 minutes. She was coming to visit us. She got another flight to a different airport, then got a train and my husband hadto drive an hour to the train station at midnight.
