Black Friday Seems a Bit Rubbish This Year
Ask a Question
Is it just me or is this by far the worst black friday? Was expecting a lot more and better deals.
Yes it is the worst I have seen so far! A lot of retailers claimed it was "early" black Friday deals and then never put on anything else. I was holding out for a few items and none of them have any good deals on them like previous years.
I think it's same every year, especially with Amazon, I find prime day is better price wise
martinlufc5637 Amazon's Black Friday deals are a rip off, I had a load of items in my basket that had either vouchers or codes attached before the so called sales, just about every one of the codes and vouchers disappeared and made the products all more expensive.
pato yes I had the same and some of the deals in my basket where reduced slightly but you had to join prime to get the deal, that wasn't the case before , no prime membership was needed
I’ve surprisingly found a few good deals and made some purchases this year. I don’t think I bought anything in Black Friday sales last year. Definitely a lot of offers that don’t actually seem to be good though, as with a lot of these big sale days.
It really depends where you look. My daughter found some really amazing offers on boohoo man and boohoo women.
I got some good deals on our sons Christmas presents. I only looked for deals on the stuff I wanted to buy for him so can't really comment on the deals overall but I was happy with what I got.
I’ve not really seen anything that would make me go ooohhh that’s a great deal I’ll get that and that’s looking for myself and stuff for my son
I've bought a few bits and pieces. I mis-timed one purchase so lost out on some bonus cashback.
Been rubbish for a few years now, not sure why it's called black Friday anymore really as shops start with their so called Black Friday offers at the beginning of November and they last all month . We'll have the pre Christmas sales next with stores rushing to shift Christmas stock before Christmas as they no longer wait for Boxing Day and New year to start reductions. There will be Easter eggs on the shelves by Christmas eve
It’s not been good for years, as most deals can be found throughout the year. Just takes more effort to check usually
I don't go looking for black Friday deals. Shops are known to put the prices up in the weeks beforehand then charge what they have at dome point in the year
The amount of emails since is far too much . It's the same things tbf which are on the deals! So not purchased anything
I found a few good things. I never have high expectations, but I will check out the prices of things I need before I buy. Amazon did well for me this year
Yes it was disappointing , certainly if you expected deals on Amazon (which are always discounted against a totally "made up" RRP or Usual selling price ! ) . If you expected deals on here , then I didn't see one . I wasn't tempted to buy anything , If it's a bargain I will normally buy ,whether I want it or not ! The best deals were probably from the company's own sites - eg 25% off Worx , 30% off Skechers , 30% off Adidas etc - also Lenovo , Ninja , Shark , Dyson to name but a few .
Most of these would work with Topcashback so if there is something specific you were after, knew the true value of and were prepared to do your own research then 35 -40% off a "real price" was quite achievable .
Top tip ,if you want a "real deal" on such brands as I have mentioned go to their sites (often a 10-20% introductory voucher) stackable with their Black Friday /Cyber Monday deals . In 99% of cases this will give you a much better price than any you will find on Amazon or indeed on here .
I haven't bought anything yet, I wasn't bothered by all the hype so just hid under my rock!
Black Friday this year was terrible. Maybe that ps5 slim disc console deal with extra 1tb ssd from CURRYS was a deal but the rest was nothing great really. Still purchased few bits and pieces but nothing to write home about.
