Christmas Food Shopping
Other
when do u start your christmas food shop, where do u go and who do u buy for - we always spend too much but i love shopping for new bits
We got an extra special turkey crown with stuffing from morrisons last year for £14. It was sooooo nice. I don't even shop at Morrisons anymore but I will be going back there in december to get this again
I shop on Christmas Eve and buy just like for a roast dinner with extra trimmings, I don’t like having leftovers for days
I buy things like cranberry sauce, stuffing, tins of sweets, crackers for cheese, biscuits etc any time now to spread the cost. Always check sell by date though. 5, 4 or 3 days before the day I start with the fresh stuff.
I ordered some food already from the Sainsbury's Christmas Food website. I done it in the last 2 years and it makes it easier. Need to pay 20 deposit and the rest later, but all our cakes and sides are done and I just need to cook the main. I work in retail so that time I too busy to do everything.
We buy a small turkey crown, a small gammon joint, potatoes, vegetables, stuffing, bread sauce, pigs in blankets. Then we normally buy a yule log for afterwards. I normally go to Tesco or Morrisons and start looking about 10 days to a week beforehand for the meat and then fresh stuff a few days before Christmas.
