Have You Ever Bought a Defective Confectionery Bar ?

Ask a Question

This happened to a man from Buckinghamshire after he bought a mars bar

Upon opening the wrapper he found the chocolate was completely smooth instead of rippled

He still ate it though after taking a photo and next day decided to contact mars

Eventually he received a £2 voucher from them as compensation

And he did find some fame, he was placed on the Dull Men's Club Facebook page

Maybe he should have kept it, it could have increased in value, or just melted , lol

Have you ever come across a faulty bar of chocolate or other food ?

martinlufc5637 Now that could have been a collectors item M, considering frys kickstarted the chocolate bar revolution in the 19th century

I bought a pack of double deckers and one of them was a real mess inside without the nougat on the outside and other issues. If you have ever seen the film Galaxy Quest when the pig creature gets transported it was a bit like that with the outside on the inside etc.

telmel Difficult to return when I've eaten it. It didn't look unedible just a bit of a mess. I should have taken a photo I suppose. It looked like it got slightly chewed by the machinery I guess.

BonzoBanana I suppose it happens B, it just surprised me how many on LD it happened to to realise there must be many other people buy defective bars unknowingly , myself i would eat it anyway , as long as it doesn't contain any creature droppings etc

Could you , perhaps ?, in your daily quest for points post a topic that concerns you ? Rather than screenscraping 5 - 7 day old subjects ? Asking for a friend .

martinlufc5637 My thoughts exactly M, i already had a run in with him a month or so ago , why do people watch from the background for years , then join , in october in this case, and just complain about other members without contributing anything themselves ?

We know all topics are not serious, some are posted for a laugh, others to help other members etc, i don't think it matters the subject as long as it entertains

I expect this type of thing from a social media follower , you only have to go on facebook to see the backstabbing that goes on there, LD is not social media, we all get on here and help each other , that's how it should be

I once got a twirl bar that was solid right the way through. Though I like the ripples, I got more chocolate than usual so I didn’t complain
