Flavoured Gin

Well i just had my first taste of the parma violet gin n it just tastes like the sweets ...i bet a few people will not realise how strong it is n get drunk by swigging it down its 38 pc but tastes like pop
I bet that's why they make all these fancy flavour drinks, a) so people will buy to try and b) the point you made about not realising the strength and necking it. Either way they are making money at the expense of our livers!
Its changed from when we were kids no daft alki pops or flavoured gin ... just straight forward spirits x

I'm loving the Hortus flavoured Gins from Lidl. I'm not sure the Parma Violets would be a taste I would enjoy as a drink (too many memories of putting handfuls in my mouth as a child) but the Hortus options are lovely. They have Plum and Cinnamon which is my fave and Pomegranate and Rose which is more fragrant. I agree that they are deceptively lethal and should be handled with care.
