At a point in time BBC was a reliable, trustworthy, and respectable news outlet, but they've ruined their reputation. Oh... And they're going to increase the TV License fee what a con.
I've not had a TVL since 2019 and don't need it since what I watch isn't live nor from the BBC (or even from England).
PhilipMarc definitely not a gregg wallace fan (was actually pretty happy he got exposed as i always felt there was something “off” about him) but I don’t think he can be lumped in with the other 2 people you mentioned.
PhilipMarc I liked gregg Wallace. Given those who've been exposed though it's not a surprise.
PhilipMarc I assume it is the Labour government or Conservative government if its a legacy issue to the past government that are increasing the TV Licence even if the BBC campaigned for it but if Labour didn't come up with the inflation linked increase they could have vetoed it as a previous policy they don't accept. Either way Labour are responsible at this point for the increase. I don't have access to any live TV channel news service except occasional bits and pieces when I visit my mother's house so I'm not very well informed on BBC bias now on TV. However the web pages do seem to omit a lot of important information that is on other news services. There does seem to be a strong bias that I think the BBC actually thinks is non-biased. I look at both the Express web pages and the Guardian web pages and you can see their bias both left and right and you somehow have to work out the truth yourself or do your own research to find actual data.
jms19 men won't understand but women have built in radar when they come across pervy smutty men, you can tell them a mile off. It's almost like an illness as they think they are behaving normally. What I don't understand is why these so called strong women didn't pull him up and tell him to do one or shut your mouth or 'that's not funny just pervy'
These left wing lunatic politicians don't want a closed border, you've only to look at what's been happening in the U.S to see the damage these kind of politicians cause, the BBC's favouritism towards terrorist countries is sickening

Seriously if you don't like the way the BBC seems to have so many sexual predators, is grossly inefficient, their news bias, they don't make good programs etc then stop your TV licence and adapt to not having live TV. If you stopped now probably in 5 years times if you put that money into a savings account instead maybe a high interest account you'll probably be better off by a thousand pounds or if you have debts which you are currently paying on high interest rates like credit cards you could be two thousand pounds better off or more.
If you put it into a savings account over 5 years (I've calculated six payments i.e. 5 years and 1 day) just to make it look worse at a savings rate of 4% although of course inflationary pressures will mean the interest rate is likely to increase as will the price of goods and services. This doesn't calculate in the TV Licence fee increases because we don't know them but I would expect at least until 2027 increases of between 5-10%.
This is a calculation of how much you would have if you paid this money off your long term credit card debt with current credit cards averaging about 19% interest.
When I go to my mother's house who lives nearby and flick through her channels on her TV I really struggle to find anything to watch. I much prefer looking at youtube videos on subjects that interest me and only reading the news that interests me on news sites. It is more enjoyable and makes better use of my time.

Pppathome As always the LD crowd rush to convict (to gain a few points?) . The point that folks miss is the mind set of "celebrity " nonentities who think they are above scrutiny . I dare say I could in days gone by be guilty of "playful behaviour " towards women (no touching or groping ) .
Where are the lines drawn ? Perhaps more may emerge ? but at the moment its just a guy of a certain age doing what all chaps did in the day . A clumsy attempt at a compliment perhaps . I'm sure I could be guilty of that . But then again I'm sure I never upset anyone - but then again I'm not famous .
I've just read that Melanie Sykes says that Greg Wallace was the reason that she quit TV. That's bloody rich coming from someone who was arrested and cautioned for assaulting her husband. If she had been a bloke, she would have been straight in the dock

Don't really know much about the background to this and suspect as per usual we are just being fed small select parts of the story. What gets me thou is why it always takes people so long to speak out about such things if they are that bothered . Also I'm sure some of these people that are making these accusations are more than capable of standing up against the like of Greg Wallace and putting him in his place at the time it happened .
Wow...what a read of comments..I always new this..I always new that..but sat back and did nothing..we all make mistakes but on different level.if Greg wasn't famous would we be judging..the guy down the road said this and said that. You would tell him a thing or two...but wait a minute let's hang on for a few years and make his life a misery for the next unfortunate person to say a wrong phase.
This evening on Newsnight they are talking to a woman who certainly received sexual misconduct. He dropped his towel, naked!
Is anyone decent in the bbc? Sounds like there’s a case to shut it down - certainly can’t be viable for them to continue to operate with so many issues coming out the woodwork
