Honey Fraud Makes Beekeepers Withdraw Awards
Other
Everything you buy these days is at risk of being counterfeit , from clothing to foods
The latest fraud is to do with the content of honey
Many unscrupulous suppliers are bulking their honey with substandard cheaper ingredients such as sugar syrup
They then sell it on under top brand names and making a hefty profit from this
So the beekeepers are fighting back by withdrawing various awards that help to sell the brands committing fraud
Even legally sold honey can fool people into thinking they are eating it pure , unless you read the small print showing the ingredients
The investigators even check the DNA of the honey to see where it is from , they can even pinpoint the hives the honey is from using this method
Lets hope they can stop all these illegal sales, otherwise it will continue to leave a bitter taste in your mouth rather than a sweet one
Its a case of ''tell me about the honey mummy''
Loved the advert
Glad I don't like honey lol saying that I loved sugar puffs until they changed them and they do not taste anything like they used too, I guess there is no sugar in them anymore hence why the name change
martinlufc5637 I used to love sugar puffs with hot milk in the winter M, but as you say they are not the same now
I love honey and I despise honey fraud.I would lock em in with a swarm of angry African bees.
I saw about this a few weeks ago, i think most of the independent honey tested was exactly what it said it was but the more mass produced honey was fraudulent
