Interesting Discovery on Premier Inn Prices!
Money Saving
I have been overwhelmed by offers on Advanced bookings at Premier Inn and decided to do a little experiment.
I searched a booking for 2 weeks time on a Saturday night for 2 people in a quiet time in December. I had a price with no cancellation policy of £108.
I then did a search for a booking again for a day before for this Friday with same criteria and got a price of £83 or tonight £79.
I intend to try again for this Saturday for experimental purposes tomorrow and again on the day and expect the price to be reduced further than the current price quoted £108.
Interesting info as it seems it doesn’t always pay to book so far ahead despite offers being put forward! Plus better flexibility if you change your plans with no penalties!
I will update this with prices tomorrow and again on the day
telmel you’re welcome. I have a very temperamental husband and reluctant to book in advance as lost out previously so if cheaper on the day it suits me perfectly!
Just keep the weekend bag packed and in the hallway lol.I love last minute out of hours deals.
MelissaLee1 I’m not going this weekend, just doing it for experimental purposes.
Update!
Dummy run for tonight, searched at 3pm - sold out!
Saturday night same price as pre booking- so no saving booking weeks ahead but risk of availability but it’s secured if it is vital that you need the booking
Searched for a few weeks time and price drop from £108 to £86 for a Saturday but think that is more to do with it being Black Friday?
Nothing wrong with premier inns, stayed in loads all over the country, never had a single problem , good value for money
Best option with both Premier & Travelodge is book in advance opt for the slightly higher price that allows you to cancel and get a full refund. If you see it cheaper then you can cancel your original booking and rebook.
