Michelin-Star Chef Pleads with Thieves to Return £25,000 worth of Stolen Pies

In the News

Never mind who ate all the pies, this time it's who stole all the pies ?

2,500 to be exact

This comes shortly after the massive cheese theft last month

Possibly they were just after the van, but there were boxes of pies inside destined for christmas tables

There were some of my favourite stolen, steak and ale, as well as turkey and butternut squash pies

And they were michelin star quality so will taste exceptional

So if you see someone looking a tad overweight flogging pies at the local pub , give the chef Tommy Banks a call , you might get a few of them as a reward

I remember this happened to another restaurant and the thief actually had remorse, returned the stuff and wrote an apology letter. The restaurant then offered him a free meal which the thief said he didn’t feel right accepting.

telmel yeah I remember the owner of the restaurant posting on social media saying how damaging it was to their business and that they already provided free meals for those less fortunate. Obviously it struck a cord with the thief.

jms19 He should have offered to wash the dishes in the kitchen for a year J , that would have been more of an apology

The van was found but the pies were ruined. He was more upset over the pies as they were for a market and he wanted them dropped off to a charity/community centre so they could still be eaten as his staff had worked hard on them

I think mince pies are seriously over rated especially the poshed up ones. Image

Its a shame they weren't mince pies M , they might have lasted longer than these , probably went off so quick as they were fresh and not processed
