More updates to LD! (7th December)

All over the updates at the moment - I’m excited to share the latest changes on LD:
We’ve revamped the sign up process to hopefully encourage people to get involved on LD.
- We’ve written a new welcome email with a brand new look to match our newsletter
- After setting a password, a new LD member is taken to a “start” page where they’re encouraged to introduce themselves, set their profile picture, or get stuck in looking for deals.
- The “heart/vote/like” button now pulses until pressed for the first time to encourage people to vote for deals.
- After voting for a deal, people are encouraged to comment too.
- Both the pulsing heart (that sounds gross
) and the popup to encourage you to comment only appear once so hopefully they don’t get in the way!
Other changes that have snuck in include:
- Further small amendments to the mobile grid view
- Fixing bugs in the list view that the new mobile grid view changes introduced (whoops, sorry!)
- Expired deals are now excluded by default so new visitors aren’t potentially faced with a bunch of expired deals. You can still change your settings to include expired deals if you so wish
We now have (rather incredibly!) over 18,000 people signed up as members of LD! Hopefully the changes above will help get them liking, commenting and enjoying LD 
You guys are on a bit of a role at the moment - just commented how I'm enjoying the Amazon tool. Well done, keep it up!
Hi nemosays it's only supposed to happen once to let new people know how LD works so if it isn't happening any more it's working as intended! We were talking about whether it should keep coming up until you comment though (rather than until you click on the message). What do you think?
Kelsey I think the pulsing heart should carry on.. people can always cancel out of the deal if they didn't want to leave a comment. But since its a new feature and we are getting new people day by day, I feel it better be left there so we can encourage them to use it often... hope that makes sense! lol!
