Presents Not Arriving on Time

I went to buy my (adult) daughter a Christmas present today but delivery date is 20-27 December. I bought it anyway as she will still have presents off us to open and it might arrive in time. What do you do in that situation?
I did the same my daughters birthday was in September and I asked and asked what she wanted till about a week before her birthday she tells me and everything was from China and was going to take 3 weeks for the stuff to come she was alright about it
Leannexxx we had trouble finding the right thing to start with but got solution from another chat. She often wants merchandise from twitch streamers too which takes months to arrive
There’s a game my son will have for his Nintendo switch which we’ve done as a pre-order for him as not out until next year but we’ll explain to him he’s got that ordered and paid for and will arrive once released

Leannexxx Pokemon Z-A. There’s no actual release date for it yet I don’t believe all I know is it says next year but we’ve paid for and preordered it for him anyway
KateGriff169 I pre ordered a book for my sons birthday he didn't miss the one extra present but was double happy when it arrived. He knew it was pre order when he asked
It depends on who it is for. If it was for one of my parents or my mother in law then I would order it and just explain if it didn't arrive on time. If it was for my son then I would have to explain that it wasn't from Santa as he would wonder why it didn't come with the other presents under the tree.
MrsCraig I didn't do it when my kids was small but mine don't believe anymore. I just hope they'll still do Santa tracker on Christmas eve I love that
Imnotcheap if it was something that he really wanted then I would maybe consider it. I've seen a few things for him but delivery says between 20th and 28th December so I'm not ordering them, they are just small things for his stocking as I've already got all the big presents sorted. My son likes Santa tracker too.
MrsCraig I guess a lot of it depends on the age of person. My daughter is 21 now
Imnotcheap he is only 6 so wouldn't understand why Santa hadn't brought it with all the other presents.
I think it’s fine. As you said, she will have other gifts to open - and it’s something she will like. I think it’s different for young kids. Adults get it
If it's from AMAZON it will arrive before that time but let's hope it will not have a label stuck to it as that's what they do. Now I order as a gift for things which will be presents as they like to put labels straight on the box and I am not talking about Amazon own box but the product packaging.
SebK84 yes it is from amazon hopefully it will come earlier it has been dispatched already so fingers crossed
I think it would be ok as she still has something else to open, hopefully she won’t realise or if you mention it then still has something to look forward too.
