Competition Spam Sites

Competitions

I have noticed over the last week or so more mainly competitions are being posted that are being held on sites that will bombard you with spam and sell your details on. I know it isn't the fault of the users who are posting them as they obviously have no clue and just want to help everybody so please don't think i'm having a dig at anybody. After entering comps for as long as I have you get very use to the sites that you really need to avoid at all costs. I thought it might be a good idea for us to have a post where we can share any sites we know that need avoiding . Here are some I know please add any more:

Vaniki- MyOffers - Getmeaticket - Top Fox - OfferX and one that no matter how many times I have told them to remove me from their phone list and have blocked them(they use a lot of different numbers) is an insurance site called Bon Accord Life. Some of the stories I have read about these and the way they hassle old people are absolutely disgusting.

I know there are a few more I have seen but can't think of them off the top of my head but will add them when i remember.

Been receiving emails from OfferX for years now despite asking for removal, resulting in me opening numerous email accounts! Its such a pain!

Yes there is no way of getting rid of them and they also sell your details on so any spam emails or calls you get from other companies could well be a result of you entering one of their dodgy comps. I find getmeaticket to be one of the worse they send a lot of emails out making it look like you have won a competition where in fact if you read between the lines its saying you might win one, they basically just want you to click their links so they get the commision.

What I would suggest is that if you are unsure about a website, look on the http://www.scamadviser.com/ website. You just type the website into the search engine and it will tell you if it is reliable or not.
