Theme Tunes That Don't Make Sense ?
Ask a Question
Watching a USA comedy ? In the theme tune it says, Tall salad and scrambled egg?"
To me in the UK it does really make sense
So I ask what ones don't make sense to you ? you r turn ...
Tossed salad and scrambled eggs is the lyricist's take on people with psychiatric problems.Suits the characters in Friends quite well I'd say!
MelissaLee1 thank you .....I really thought it was a tall salad ....now it makes sense
It is tossed salads and scrambled eggs, it is a lyrical take on people with psychiatric issues as the main character is a psychiatrist.
Can't think of any theme tunes that don't make sense.
MrsCraig I feel I have egg on my face as I really thought it was a tall salad and scrambled eggs
Maybe I should re write saying ," miss heard lyrics ".
SheenaEllis I wouldn't worry about it S, most things in the USA don't make any sense , you only have to look at whose in charge, plenty of tossed salad there, with the emphasis on toss
SheenaEllis don't worry about it, I've misheard lyrics lots over the years, everyone does. Took me a while to realise the reference in the theme tune though.
There's a line in "I'll Be There For You" by The Rembrandts - the theme song from Friends that I always question.
You're still in bed at ten and work began at eight
You've burned your breakfast, so far things are goin' great
If I woke up hours late for work I'd be getting there quick sharp - not doing myself a cooked breakfast!
You are referring to the Theme song from the TV show "Frasier". The actor Kelsey Grammar plays the character Frasier Crane, a psychiatrist and radio host/Dr. He also sings the theme song to the show.
The lyrics are:
"Hey baby I hear the blues a'calling,
Tossed salads and scrambled eggs.
And maybe I feel a bit confused,
yeah maybe, but I got you pegged.
But I don't know what to do with those tossed salads and scrambled eggs, they're calling again".
