Watching a USA comedy ? In the theme tune it says, Tall salad and scrambled egg?"
To me in the UK it does really make sense
So I ask what ones don't make sense to you ? you r turn ...
Tossed salad and scrambled eggs is the lyricist's take on people with psychiatric problems.Suits the characters in Friends quite well I'd say!

It is tossed salads and scrambled eggs, it is a lyrical take on people with psychiatric issues as the main character is a psychiatrist.
Can't think of any theme tunes that don't make sense.

SheenaEllis I wouldn't worry about it S, most things in the USA don't make any sense , you only have to look at whose in charge, plenty of tossed salad there, with the emphasis on toss 
SheenaEllis don't worry about it, I've misheard lyrics lots over the years, everyone does. Took me a while to realise the reference in the theme tune though.
There's a line in "I'll Be There For You" by The Rembrandts - the theme song from Friends that I always question.
