There's Truth to the "War on Christmas" Argument

Other

Today I traveled and visited various places, from which, let's say out of 10, only 2 of them actually mentioned "Merry Christmas" while the rest all said "Happy Holidays".

I can't believe this is what it has come to. They'll use the Christmas decorations, sounds, music, the old guy everyone loves and the tree.. but god forbid they call it as it is, Christmas.

Sigh. The reason behind it is to be more "inclusive" and "diverse" so no one gets offended while at the same time completely ignoring the fact that Christmas is a Western tradition and now we just have to accept that it's "Happy Holidays".

I'm glad this guy over the pond in Texas decided to take action against the whole nonsense of Happy Holidays. Yes, this was a few years ago but at least he hasn't decided to dumb it down.

The trouble is, whenever you take a stand on things like this you are called names, including probably racist. However, I tolerate everyone else's religion/faith /belief so is it too much to expect my own faith, in my own country to be tolerated? My faith is constantly being watered down with this cr*p, people in public work not allowed to wear a crucifix, Christ taken out of Christmas, most kids not even knowing the meaning of it. Easter is for the Easter bunny and chocolate eggs and another excuse for eating and drinking to excess. If I can tolerate other religions in my home country why can't the pc brigade allow me to honour my own faith in peace without feeling guilty if I say happy Christmas instead of happy holidays. After all no one tells those from abroad not to celebrate their religious days, too many to mention as I have rambled enough.
