Buyer's guide

Wheeling out your suitcase to catch a flight with British Airways? Lovely job! Before you zip up and jet off, let's natter about bagging the best deals with them. Whether you're jet-setting for a jolly holiday or a brisk business trip, cracking a deal with British Airways can save you a tidy sum. Keeping an eagle's eye on their seasonal sales, promotional offers, or even signing up for their newsletter can keep you ahead of the game, snagging those discounts before they vanish into thin air. But hold your horses! Before you part with your pennies, it's worth noting that while British Airways is known for offering a bit of British class in the skies, not all deals are as sweet as a cuppa with two sugars. Brush up on their baggage fees and class upgrades to make sure you're not caught off-guard. Do your homework and you might just land a brilliant bargain on your next flight.

British Airways sales

  • Summer Sale: As the warmer months approach, British Airways typically launches its Summer Sale. It's an ideal opportunity to plan a sun-soaked holiday or explore new destinations with discounted flights and holiday packages.
  • Black Friday Sale: British Airways participates in the Black Friday phenomenon with offers that tend to cover both flights and holiday packages. Price drops on various destinations make it a key event for booking late-year travel at a lower cost.
  • Cyber Monday Deals: Following Black Friday, Cyber Monday often sees further online exclusive offers from British Airways. It's another chance to grab a deal if you missed out on Black Friday specials.
  • September Sale: To encourage travel during the autumn, British Airways usually holds a sale in September. This might include discounts on both short and long-haul destinations, providing opportunities for autumn getaways or early bird booking for Christmas and New Year travel.

It's also worth noting that besides these annual sales, British Airways occasionally offers flash sales, last-minute deals, and exclusive promotions for members of its Executive Club. Activating alerts on the website or subscribing to newsletters can be a good strategy to catch these deals as they become available.

Delivery & Returns

When flying with British Airways, blown away by their range of delivery and return options you will be. The cherry on top? If you snag an e-ticket, which is pretty much standard these days, you bypass those pesky delivery costs altogether—cheers to that! But, if you're taking a punt on a paper ticket, then prepare to fork out a bit for delivery fees. Changed your mind or plans gone pear-shaped? Their cancellation and refund policies have got your back, though fees might apply, depending on the ticket type. Always best to have a butcher's at their T&Cs before taking the plunge!

Absolutely love British Airways as a child growing up in the 80s British Airways was the airline to fly with and just loved the sight of concorde also. If i have a choice I would always go with them as feel so much safer flying with them than any other airline. i just hope they continue to survive this terrible period for airlines.

I really like British Airways and have been using them for over 30 years.there is something reassuringly safe about flying with them and I just hope they are ok over this period of time. I first started off as a kid in their junior jet club collection air miles and have been hooked ever since.

I always fly by British Airways. I think that the quality of services that they offer is at a very high standard. The prices are reasonable. The crew on board are very friendly and do their very best to attend to you and make sure that you are comfortable. As a whole the company is great and i would definitely recommend travelling by British Airways
