The basic FREE policy provides Nationwide roadside assistance, if they cannot fix you car within 1 hour, they will tow your car up to 10 miles to a garage for you - no excess no limit on car or age. I hope this clears things up for you - thank you
This is confusing. We need to know exactly what the free quote means e. g Nationwide roadside assistance that's included. Plus you need to add others to really benefit from this as the free one is very limited. We really need clarification please anyone
Read the small print. Same way expensive diamonds are free.... until you want them and then you need to pay.
Please note if you do breakdown at your registered home address, a £35 excess payment will be due before any assistance can be organised.
26 quid a year I pay with my breakdown cover better deal than this and that's with home assistance if I break down less than a mile from my house
Brilliant deal! I am looking around for a break down service at the moment, so fab! Thanks for sharing this great deal with us.
What a really great find, i will definitely be looking into this, but sound great. Thank you for posting this.
This is marketing gimmick. Who the fool would be in a business without a plan to make money.
Have you ever see a Be Smart recovery vehicle in your town ?? I ain't
Tempted but .....
AA is costing me £7 a month at mo as well
ChrisWorth you won't have seen a Be Smart recovery vehicle as they use local, independent garages in the area where you need assistance they are not a chain with a fleet like others
You need to add the options otherwise free option isn't worth it! It's a marketing gimmick
Hajisaab This breakdown membership meets the demands and needs of persons wishing to ensure that they are covered in the event of a breakdown. As with any membership policy, it does not cover all situations and you should read the terms and conditions of this policy in connection with your policy schedule to ensure that you have chosen a level of cover that meets your specific needs.
I think free cover and peace of mind knowing you are covered if you breakdown and someone will try and fix your car or tow you up to 10 miles for free is pretty good? I don't see any other company doing this.
Don't like it ...don't buy it. Not sure what else you want for free ...maybe they should pay you for showing up
Some conflicting opinions on here. If it’s free and meets your needs, quids in. Just triple check T&Cs. Homestart is usually worth paying a bit extra for just for peace of mind.
What happens if you get a puncture as most new cars no longer hold a spare wheel .
And most companies refuse to help but don’t put that in there wording .
- Seeing my friend got left stranded 40 miles from home & was refused help because there was no spare wheel in his car . But he was paying for premium service .
Just signed up looks a great deal, also came at a good time for me as i have just renewed my car insurance and it does not include breakdown cover, thank you.
breakdown cover is a great thing to have ! however tow within 10 miles is next to nothing if you live in the sticks
Signed up and paid for this, including extras and have received no documents by email or post apart from comformation of my direct debit. So I have no membership number or phone number if I break down.
I did this a year ago and now need to cancel before the renewal comes out - does anyone know how to as I've received no documentation etc. I guess this is how they make money hoping people forget to cancel... or can't! It's taken me forever to find/remeber the name of the company!!
