Hotel details
Macia Sevilla Kubb Hotel is conveniently located on the edge of Seville's Old Town, surrounded by buzzing tapas bars and flamenco clubs.
The city's top attraction, the sprawling Alcázar Real de Sevilla palace complex, is within 15 minutes' walk, and so is the main plaza that you see in all the photos. The stroll from the hotel is scenic and takes you through the swaying palms of the Jardines de Murillo.
The hotel has a rooftop terrace with an outdoor swimming pool — a real blessing on a hot day. Tripadvisor users praise the modern architecture, the city views from the rooftop terrace, and friendly staff who are happy to recommend the best local bars and restaurants.
The city can get very hot in summer, so its a huge advantage to stay in such a central location. You can potter down to the main sights in the morning, head back to the hotel for a well-deserved siesta, then head out for tapas, wine, or a flamenco show in the evening.
El Rinconcillo, one of the most famous tapas bars in the entire city, is less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel. It dates back to the 1670s, and is said to be the oldest bar in the whole of Spain. It is "the blueprint for centuries' worth of imitators", says Lonely Planet, and "sets a memorable stage for classic tapas".
