New customers can get 40% off vehicle breakdown cover at RAC. This is now available for just £5.95 per month, which has been reduced from £9.95. Alternatively you can opt to pay one annual payment of £59.51, reduced from £99.50, with no hidden costs.

With this breakdown cover, your vehicle will be covered no matter who is driving. This is ideal if you only drive one vehicle and if you share it with another person in your household. It costs £5.95 per month to cover one vehicle, however you can add multiple vehicles registered at the same address for an additional cost. Two vehicles can be covered for £9.95 per month, or 3 for £13.95 per month.

Vehicle breakdown cover also includes Roadside Assistance as standard, which gives you cover over 1/4 from home. They will try to fix your vehicle on the spot but if they can't, you'll be towed you 10 miles to a local garage or another destination. You'll also get 5 callouts a year.

You can also add additional options to your breakdown cover. These include:

• Roadside & Recovery - £9.95 per month. You can be towed anywhere in the UK.
• Roadside, Recovery & At Home - £14.95 per month. You also have At Home cover within ¼ mile of your home.
• Onward Travel - £4. Receive a hire car for up to 3 days while your car’s being fixed.
• European Rescue - £9. Receive cover if you break down in Europe.
• Key Replace - £3.50
• Battery Replace - £3.50
• Tyre Replace - £6.50
