Never understand gaming laptops, they are so expensive, noisy as hell when operating and often battery life is pants for gaming. Performance wise they don't compare well to a normal desktop PC at a cheaper price. If you are going to be using it in the home anyway as battery life is so poor then surely a desktop PC would be better. Yes I realise some people will like to move a laptop from house to house i.e. take it to a friend's house but if you aren't doing that seems a poor choice to me. I also feel diminishing returns factor in. Buying a high end laptop only gives marginal gaming improvement over a model below it. Personally I feel the sweet spot for a laptop is around £600 but I use a cheaper Celeron laptop as I want extremely long battery life and a very light laptop I can take anywhere.
