A very decent entry level hardtail mountain bike but the 2x drivetrain is not ideal for off-road use as it has poor chain retention but for light trails off-road it would be ok. Remember these type of bikes are heavy and the suspension fork will need occasional maintenance. If you want a simple bike for commuting something like the Carrera Subway would be better.
