You cannot turn on voicemail yourself, off yes but on NO. If you turn it off you have to get them via a long phone call to turn it back on. Bleddy nuisance
This is a really great deal for £9.99 and you get 200GB that's loads!!
Great deal thanks for posting I am going to have a look hopefully they've some left
riddick78 I asked lyca that question and they said no but .... the woman didn't quite understand so if anyone has definate answer i would also be interested in knowing.
riddick78 I m waiting since 2 month and still is in process, and my permanent number is not working, it's happened with so many people.
momhobnob666 get a normal pay and go sim port the number to them then back to the new lyca sim only takes a day between ports
momhobnob666 I did ask them as well , they said if we transfer then the current plan will be lost ..and another thing I have experienced is google pixel phones doesnot support lyca 5G on EE network
Will definitely be having a look at this sale from Lyca. Hopefully I'll find a good priced deal here. Thanks for sharing!
Brilliant bargain from Lyca Mobile. I need to downgrade to cheaper costs. Thank you for posting!
I received a sim from them 3 days ago. If I try to make a call or use data it tells me I have none of either but I have actually signed up on this 200gb plan. Tried phoning customer services and gave up after waiting in the call que for over 15 minutes. I installed the lyca app afterwards and that shows I've been sent a pay as you go sim with no plan attributed to the sim. So far I've paid £9.99 for a sim card. Update, the next morning. After going around in circles for ages on the lyca help line I've managed to get through today after a long wait in the call que. I really struggled to understand the foreign woman that answered and I had to keep repeating what the issue is because she couldn't understand my ordinary English accent properly. She seemed clueless, said she'd escalated the issue and wants me to phone again in 24 hours. Think I'll be cancelling the contract. Another update, I had a text after phone call stating no need to phone them again and they will look into my case. Lyca have taken the first £9.99 and all I've got is a pay as you go sim with no credit. Day 3 now and nothings been done by them. Day 4 now and I've received a text at midday saying welcome to lyca and the plan seems to have been activated.
HarryK I received a text at midday today saying welcome to lyca and the plan seems to have been activated now. It has been 4 days since I inserted the sim.
HarryK I've just checked and my sim does allow tethering but the data speed is much slower than my other sim which is on 3. Maybe it's something to do with your settings. I'm one quarter of a mile from a town centre and 200 metres from a tower but only getting 13Mps down and 1.5Mps up on lyca compared to 70-90Mps down and 20-30Mps up using my 3 sim.
Earthling you have to add the apn settings in settings im on iphone go to mobile, mobile data network and under personal hotspot at the bottom use these settings Name = Lycamobile Internet
APN = data.lycamobile.co.uk/
Username = lmuk
Password = plus
l1996 thanks for trying to help but I know the correct settings, I'd already accepted the settings lyca texted to me and checked the settings were correct afterwards. I've noticed the lyca connection is faster if I go outside but still no where near the speed I get from my 3 mobile sim.
Check your email that you used to sign up. There should be a code which you use to input and activates your plan.
rafksr I received a text at midday today saying welcome to lyca and the plan seems to have been activated now. It has been 4 days since I inserted the sim.
Hi Earthling, I 've had a similar problem with Lyca. My plan was supposed to be renewed automatically on the 30th of September. After numerous phone calls (6 hours waiting for someone to answer), automated talks with Lia, I still can't make or receive any calls.I have asked for a PAC code, they have given me one which is the usual 65075, it doesn't work with Lyca. So now I am trying to get a new contract, with another company, with out having a PAC
dotsmoans So you texted "PAC" to 65075 and they didn't send you a working code? That's not good is it. For me lyca has been disappointing so far but I'm seeing how it goes during the first 30 days.
Bought 2 deal the 100gb at £6.99 it’s really worth it as 200gb too much. Very happy although porting number isn’t as straight forward on their website. The value is great. Can’t complain specially it’s done via eSIM
Lyca is offering great discounts specially for new costumers. Ideal for anyone looking to switch their network or need a new number
Is it worth it.seems ur all had issues.is it nightmare to get ur pak code to keep old number ?
I'm eith EE and sim contract just ended.
I posted three weeks ago regarding the issues I had with my new lyca sim and now I've had my sim for three weeks I've just cancelled renewal because the signal strength and data speeds are poor compared to all the other networks I've tried. My settings are all correct and opensignal shows the cell tower I'm connected to is in the same location as my other network so it's not satisfactory. Also I've now shopped around and got unlimited data, calls and texts for £15 monthly with £120 cashback by redemption on a 24 months contract. That works out to £10 monthly on a network that's much faster. Lyca has some good points such as you are only tied in for 30 days and international calls if you need them so if you are happy with the price and speeds you may be happy with them.
