How do you save money on coffee? Large bags of freshly ground coffee

Available from ebay
£11.25
Comment6

Hey guys, I wanted to share with you how I save money on coffee by buying large bags of freshly ground beans.

How do you save money on coffee?

Buy large 1KG bags of freshly ground coffee from eBay. It's cheaper than buying it from the supermarket.

You can buy large bags of coffee beans from eBay, including this seller I've linked to (blue button) who will grind it for you depending on how you like it: For an espresso, cafetiere, Turkish coffee, or just filter.

It's then delivered to your door, as fresh as can be.

How much money can I save?

Supermarkets typically sell coffee in 250g bags. Large brands such as Taylors cost about £3.50 for a 250g bag, so about £14 for 1KG. Using the seller I've linked to, you can get it for £11.25 delivered - and much higher quality.

How can I save even more money?

It's even cheaper if you grind coffee beans yourself. You can buy a hand coffee grinder but I buy an electric one. After this initial investment, 1KG of fresh coffee beens can be bought for £7 - half that of the supermarket.

There are other options too. Wholesalers often have eBay stores, including one selling 1KG of Lavazza ground coffee for £9.45 including delivery - see link in comments.

Currently this costs £18 in Tesco, so you save almost 50%.

Hope this helps you save some money on coffee.

Thanks nemosays, the best way is if you get an electric coffee grinder. Then it's super fresh every day and the smell is just amazing.

nemosays Good question! I'm not sure. Try it with brazil nuts first? They're hard...
