Magnolia tree: Get a large 4-5ft magnolia rustica rubra – tulip tree.

Rustica rubra: A sought after tree which will produce an abundance of deep pink-red-purple flushed flowers, with petals that appear creamy-white on the inside when they open.

Blooms: This tree will bloom twice every year - in spring, and again in late summer.

Features: The large goblet shapes 15-20cms flowers are a glorious sight to behold, and will bring cheer for several weeks before making way for the foliage.

Size: Generally growing two to three metres tall over time, and eventually reaching double this height over a couple of decades if you do not prune.

Where to plant: Perfect to place in a planter pot, or set out in your garden.
