Seems a decent sim only deal. Has anyone who has taken the Lyca offer under the new partner EE? What are they like regarding to signal and connectivity. Does it support wi-fi calling and can you tether?
tonygch96 terms and conditions states you can't tether but you can, no problem. T & C's are out of date. No wi-fi calling apparently. Don't know about signal and download speeds, depending on the area I suppose.
Inspiredbuy747 Thanks.
The last time I used Lyca which I think was partnered with O2 I think, you could tether and use WiFi calling. As I struggled to get a signal at home, WiFi calling was a God send, but with EE not sure if the deal is as tempting as it looks.
tonygch96 having a dual SIM phone is handy if you want to try another SIM, but at least you can cancel it straight away if it's unsuitable. Yes, they used to use 02, but just changed to EE.
tonygch96 I haven’t been able to get good signal since they changed to partner with EE unfortunately. However it may just be that my area doesn’t have good enough coverage from EE
Daughter, wife, mom and me joined (different offers) because of price. Port in no issues. Reception at mom's vastly improved on EE compared to Vodafone. I seem to get complete 5g reception all day in Redditch. Can't comment on WiFi calling or tethering as non of us use it.
App is average at best (basic), but slightly more frustrating is non of us can open the app whilst on mobile data, WIFI opens it immediately. Not sure why that is. Overall, for the price we are pleased with it.
I've just renewed I've just set mine to auto renew for £4 selling because I am actually leaving O2 in May and I've got a contract Talkmobile as well and on the 30 day sim only and it's good with Lycamobile you can cancel anytime you like you're not using it i brilliant
There so many of these Lyca deals on offer lately and I purchased one months ago and was happy with it . However it’s changed the network it runs off and I can’t get an internet signal since !!!!
Thanks for sharing
Great deal by lyca. At this price for a month of bundle is great offering. Ideal for anyone looking for a new connection
PLEASE BE AWARE!! The most most rubbish network, Bought the Sim last time, They have given me the number whicj is used by someone else on whatsapp and that person is still using my number for whatsapp and it des not let me register my whatsapp even after 3 months. I am on contract so no do not know how to cancel it.
Network is so so poor
Excellent find and am loving the price drop can’t beat this price! Thank you for the share
does anyone know when we need to activate the sim by when we receive it? (as in, can I wait 2 weeks before I start my 30 days)?
If I activated it 2 weeks later, does the 30 days start 2 weeks later or from when I made the order?
Just had a message that I have 10 days until £2.49 Will be taken for my 2nd month, so apparently not £1.49 which I was led to believe! Has anyone else had same thing happen?
sueblamires You might have gone over your allowance - check your itemised bill or contact their customer services there is live chat or call or text them - the offer for £1.49 is still live thanks
Cannot contact customer services as yet every attempt my call is ended I'm been given options and when I press number given call ended, cannot chat as won't allow me to input anything into chat bubble, not very impressed with their customer service at all
sueblamires Try contacting them on Facebook you can message them here >> www.facebook.com/LycamobileUK
Thanks
