I feel like the original PS5 standard model with disc drive is a much better option. You get to play all your PS4 and PS5 discs which can be purchased at lower prices and resold later plus the PS5 Pro only offers minor visual enhancements to existing PS5 games. It feels more sensible to save the difference and get ready to put it towards a PS6 in a few years. I personally can't see the PS5 Pro holding its value, sales have been slow and that is with a low number of units launched. The original PS5 is about 10 Teraflops performance and the PS5 Pro is 17 Teraflops I think but all it seems to do is add extra resolution and I personally can't see the difference between 1080p and 4K gaming when I'm about 6 feet away from the screen. I would definitely think about whether you are going to see any benefit for your extra £300 or whatever it is.
