New customers can get 40% off vehicle breakdown cover at RAC. It starts from just £6.55 per month, which has been reduced from £10.95, for Roadside and Recovery cover. Alternatively, you can opt to pay one annual payment of £65.50, reduced from £109.50, with no hidden costs.
Roadside and Recovery ensures that your vehicle will be covered, no matter who is driving. This is ideal if you only drive one vehicle, especially if you share it with another person in your household. It costs £6.55 per month to cover one vehicle, however, you can add multiple vehicles registered at the same address for an additional cost. Two vehicles can be covered for £10.55 per month or 3 for £14.55 per month.
Vehicle breakdown cover also includes Roadside Assistance as standard, which gives you cover from over 1/4 from home. They will try to fix your vehicle on the spot but if they can't, you'll be towed 10 miles to a local garage or another destination. You'll also get 5 callouts a year and if they can't fix your vehicle, they'll tow it anywhere in the UK.
You can also add additional options to your breakdown cover. These include:
- Onward Travel: £4. Receive a hire car for up to 3 days while your car’s being fixed
- European Rescue: £9. Receive cover if you break down in Europe
- Key Replace: £3.50
- Battery Replace: £3.50
- Tyre Replace: £6.50

- 40% saving applies to single vehicle and single personal based cover on a fixed 12 month plan.
- Discounts on cover for multiple vehicles and people vary.
- New customers only. Not available to members amending or renewing an existing policy or on purchases during a breakdown situation.
- Excludes Roadside cover, Key Replace, Battery Replace, Tyre Replace, Onward Travel and European Rescue.

Looks an ok deal but always try as it maybe cheaper to combine the breakdown cover in with your insurance
