If you're a new customer at RAC, you can get 40% off vehicle breakdown cover. The price for Roadside and Recovery cover starts from just £6.55 per month, which has been reduced from £10.95. You can also pay one annual payment of £65.50, reduced from £109.50, with no hidden costs.

Roadside and Recovery ensures your vehicle is covered, no matter who is driving. If you only drive one vehicle this cover is ideal for you, even if you share it with another person in your household. It costs £6.55 per month to cover one vehicle, however, you can add multiple vehicles registered at the same address for an additional cost. Two vehicles can be covered for £10.55 per month or 3 for £14.55 per month.

Vehicle breakdown cover also includes Roadside Assistance as standard, which gives you cover over 1/4 of a mile from your home. They will try to fix your vehicle on the spot but if they can't, you'll be towed 10 miles to a local garage or another destination. You'll also get 5 callouts a year and if they can't fix your vehicle, they'll tow it anywhere in the UK.

You can also add additional options to your breakdown cover. These include:

• Onward Travel: £4. Receive a hire car for up to 3 days while your car’s being fixed
• European Rescue: £9. Receive cover if you break down in Europe
• Key Replace: £3.50
• Battery Replace: £3.50
• Tyre Replace: £6.50
