With personal breakdown cover, you'll be covered as opposed to your vehicle. This means you're still eligible for roadside cover if you break down in someone else's car, whether you're the driver or the passenger. The vehicle will be fixed at the roadside or if the patrol can't fix it, you will be towed up to 10 miles to either your home address or a local garage. Plus, your passengers will also have a taxi organised to take everyone home.

You can also choose to add on more options to your policy, such as Recovery in case your vehicle needs towing, Battery Replace if yours fails and more. These will increase the total cost however so if you only want to pay the £42 annual cost, you can skip these.
