Dread If we're to compare it to the Nintendo Switch, the launch price is the RRP so the same reflects here.
It isn't. I was just joking because there was a mistake made. The retail RRP is £249.99. That makes a saving of £70. Not £170.
Dread I'd agree with you but when inserting the retail/original price on LD's box it says this:
Original price / RRP
Maybe that should be changed.
Bestoffer What are you talking about ? You had the original price as £249.99 and the deal as £179.99. That is not a saving of £170. You only changed the RRP price when Rockman gave you some wrong information. You had the RRP correct when you had it at £249.99. It was the saving that was incorrect. It should have been £70 not £170. Take £180 from £250 and what are you left with ?
Dread That is incorrect, the information is absolutely correct.
The Launch/Original Price was £349.99 and that falls under what LD requires. If LD wanted the current-RRP then that's different.
Rockman The information is incorrect. They do want the current RRP. That is how you work out how much you save. How much percentage you save. The console is £249.99. The deal is £179.99. You save £72.02. You are not putting the price of an item 50 years ago. You are putting the price of the item today.
The description in the box for you to enter the information is the original price for the item that is for sale on that day. Not the original price whenever the product launched. I didn't think it needed to be clearer but maybe it does ? To be honest i find that the whole RRP box shouldn't even be there as even RRP doesn't really matter with a lot of items as they are continuously sold lower. If a product has been on sale for 50 years you don't put the price 50 years ago. You put the price it is sold for today. For example Cadbury's have been around for over 100 years but you don't put 2d as the original price. Or many TV's that originally launch at over £2000.
Dread By default there's always a RRP that retailers follow so it's helpful to have that tidbit of info around.
