Plus it features Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio for superior sound quality, and offers a host of smart features, with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. 4K HDR and upscaling

With a compatible TV, enjoy the stunning depth and realism of the 4K HDR picture. This player supports multiple HDR formats including HDR10 and Dolby Vision, while HDR-SDR conversion ensures the increased brightness range of HDR is intelligently maintained on SDR screens. Meanwhile, Sony's BT.2020 colour spaces offers a wider colour range than standard players, and, with 4K 60p upscaling, you’ll experience your favourite movies in greater detail.

Sound design

With High-Resolution Audio, music is captured at a higher rate than standard, so sound is channelled as the artist intended. DSEE HX technology upscales the audio, so lower resolution signals reach near Hi-Res quality. Dolby Atmos treats sound sources within a three dimensional space, so whatever you're watching or listening to, with compatible speakers, the audio will be immersive and spatially separated. Anti-vibration construction and a noise-reducing frame-and-beam chassis mean this player’s build is carefully crafted to boost sound. And you can channel sound via an HDMI output, and wirelessly to a Bluetooth speaker at the same time.

Crystal clear LDAC wireless

Streaming music over Bluetooth can compromise sound quality, but Sony’s LDAC coding technology lets you play larger files. This tech triples the amount of sound-data you can transmit, so you can playback your tunes with better clarity.

4K streaming

With Sony’s smart platform, stream from a host of popular services, including 4K content from Youtube and Netflix (subscriptions may apply).
