Hub gears with a mid-drive motor what a great combination for a short life throwaway ebike. Hub gears typically are more prone to failure unless a simple 3 speed type and then you add on the motor power which admittedly isn't huge here at 50Nm, no more than many hub motors especially when you factor the gearing here. This could have been a great ebike with a front hub motor which would have taken wear off the hub gears to extend their life but instead you have something like 3x the normal power of a cyclist going through those hub gears due to the mid-drive motor. No surprise this has been heavily discounted to almost half its price. This is not something repairable in the home either, most proprietary mid-drive motor companies control spares availability so you have to pay full dealer prices for out of warranty work. A replacement motor here could be around £1000, a replacement battery also very high and of course if you damage the frame the bike is a write off as this is a proprietary frame designed specifically for this motor and such frames are often between £1000-2000 if they are available which rarely they are. Sort of ebike probably ok for weak light riders who won't use it very much. I definitely wouldn't get this if you rack up huge miles commuting, mid-drive motors are quite complex and have a high failure rate and the drivetrain will wear down much faster as all the power is going through the drivetrain unlike a hub motor where it works in parallel to the normal drivetrain and therefore massively extends the life of the drivetrain.
