This fabulous vintage egg pendant is beautifully decorated with twinkling white pastes, a cabochon garnet on the bottom and teardrop and leaf motifs, highlighted in bright red and green guilloche enamel.
Guilloche enamel dates to the 17th century and involves metal carefully worked by a lathe, or “Rose Machine” into a decorative pattern and overlaid with a colourful enamel to create a striking and highly detailed work of art.
It’s a beautiful design, similar to that of a Faberge egg and is modelled in gold metal and is accompanied by a sterling silver cable chain to display it on.
