Not bad as a simple sim if you just wanted it for calls and texts, but could work out expensive for a web browsing as it is essentially £10 per 1GB data
Yes, you are right, and there is also the £10 top up to activate that will be valid for a certain period of time (usually 6 months but that depends on the network) and if you don't use it up, you will lose it. (for example three has an option of only £5 activation top up.)
Interestingly, they say there are no connection charges, I wonder if it applies to the paid numbers such as those starting 0870, 0871, 0872... 
Found it, "customers are required to top-up their phone with at least £10 of credit every 120 days." that's £10 every 4 months, sounds like a great deal for regular low users, however not for irregular low users.
Why would anyone in their right head do this? You can pay £8 for 8GB WITH 5OOO TEXTS & 5000 CALLS or £5 If you use less. This just seems like utter madness. Just go to Tesco or vodaphone and sort yourself out and dont bother with this nonsense of a deal.
If your an irregular you should never be paying more than £3- £5 a month for a phone.
This offer is good but there is a free data sim you can get from 3 mobile (3 2 1 sim). 3p calls 2p texts and 1p per megabyte of data. Also every month you get 200MB of free data.
