Discretionary disabled Freedom...
Some boroughs offer discretionary passes to people who do not meet the eligibility criteria
Do they do disabled passes in other parts of the country as one of my neighbours is in need of a disabled travel pass as it will save him a lot of money.
I would assume that each region/county has it's own system in place but I don't really know the answer.
HelenPacker I have a feeling they do I had one before and I'm nowhere near London xx enquiring with your local information centre might help
HelenPacker you can get a disabled or a over 66 ( i could be wrong on the age) pass anywhere in the U.K if you have proof that you have a disability or that you are over a certain age. I had to pay £20 for a doctors signature to prove I had a disability
If you get in touch with your local council they will be able to advise you on how to get one! I've just got one for my son who has a learning disability, I didn't think he'd be entitled to one, I'm glad because it will save a fortune in bus fares while he is at College!
