Free Food and Non-Food Items with the Olio App
Olio is a great app designed to reduce food waste. Food that is no longer wanted but still edible can be posted through the app and others can come and collect for free. The app shows posts from others that live nearby who have food they no longer need. There are also official volunteers that collect food from cafes and shops that would have otherwise been thrown away, and then post them on the app.
To get the app you need to download from the app store or google play. Then you are ready to go. App is free to use and ongoing.
Downloaded it before, it’s a well made app and a great idea but unfortunately not enough people in my area using it to make it worthwhile
lowangleshot it was the same for me in 2017 but I've just re-joined and it's better now, with a much more active group of people near me, so it might be worth having another look.
