My grandchildren done this last year and they were very happy with the letter they received back from Santa. A lovely piece of childhood magic being kept alive by Royal Mail. Something children will remember for years to come

gjvj if you see my comment that’s what I was trying to get across how much of a memory it is. As I said my younger sister received one many years ago but it made such an impact on her Christmas memories that she searched online until she found out how to order one for her children.

The thing is these days ppl spend so much on presents etc but it’s not about the must expensive gift it’s the little things that will be remembered. My mum asked me and my three siblings to recall something we remembered about Christmas when we were little , the funny thing is not one of us mentioned our presents it was all funny personal memories about the pine needles being found in carpet all through January and my mum would swear we getting a fake tree from that year on but it never happened. LOL

It’s not like we didn’t have memories about presents we had but the first memory was more a family memory . That was the point my mum was making that the money spent on gifts isn’t important it’s the special family moments

Nickyhaslam77 this is very true and this year in particular will be a testing time for plenty . Staying well and healthy counts and checking in on elderly and vulnerable neighbours 🎀

I remember my youngest sister receiving one of these type of letters , it really made her Christmas more magical that year . She is grown up now with children of her own and was searching for this type of letter for her children . When looking she found an app that allows you to ring Santa and when he answers he asks your child about things that are relevant to them (information you select ). It’s really good but the point being the letter meant so much that she remember it with her children

No offence to the OP, but with all the Royal Mail strikes I wouldn't even consider them, they are striking here again today, their backlog is already horrendous, I saw pics posted online 🙄

tracked 24 is taking upwards of a week, i would highly doubt any letters sent will be received before Christmas especially with strike days.

Good idea for next Christmas in the hopes that Postal Strike is over 🤦🏻‍♀️ I understand they want more money but don’t we all, It’s the customers who are suffering and they would Rather Spoil people’s Christmas than call off the Strike until Christmas is over with 🤯 it’s not fair people are spending what they can afford to make the most of Christmas and they don’t even know if presents will Arrive or the usual go Missing in the post as they have so often done at Christmas without the strikes, it will be the end of the post delivery people soon Because people will find another way to get parcels and then the post will blame the customer for not using the service and that will be the end, We pay enough for Stamps and Shipping without being Punished because they have spat their Dummy, People waiting for the next instalment of Cost of Living payment will be sat in the sorting office so not only keeping people’s parcels behind but the cost of living payments too 🤯🤦🏻‍♀️ no parcels and no heating shows exactly what the customer means to the Mail people
