The FREE O2 SIM card lets you use O2 Priority Moments, the freebie, deal and discounts app. I use O2 just for this.
You can order a SIM card for free (without paying for anything), insert it into your UNLOCKED phone, download O2 Priority Moments and register it to the phone number.
O2 offer lots of Top Up deals with the free sim card. A typical one is 2GB of data, 750 minutes and 2000 texts for £15.
You must select which Top Up deal you want to be on when you order your free O2 Sim card.

The purpose of this freebie is to get the rewards app O2 Priority. To do that you need to be an O2 Customer. If you order a SIM for free and put it into your phone you can then get the app - no top up needed. You can then change back to your original network.
Of course, if you want to carry on using O2 you'll need to top up but here I've linked to a deal where you can get £10 bonus credit.

mobile number. Also, the cheapest deal is the £10.00 Big Bundle which lasts 30 days. The current offer is not £10.00 upfront but £2.00 paid back to your O2 account for 5 months with each £10.00 top up on pay as you go.
I don't think there's a way to get access to Priority without a top up anymore, is there?
